RoHS is a mandatory standard developed by the EU legislation, its full name is "The restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). The standard was officially implemented on July 1, 2006, mainly used to regulate the electrical and electronic products, materials and process standards, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose of this standard is to eliminate the electrical and electronic products in the Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium(VI), Polybrominated biphenyls(PBB’s) and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE’s), total of 6 substances, and the provisions of the lead content can not exceed 0.1%
In the PCB industry, Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium(VI) are almost not use. PCB manufacturers also would not deliberately use. So only in the choice of raw materials and surface technology to take into account the lead PB and halogen can not meet the basic Environmental requirements.

In the choice of surface technology, in addition to Hot Air Levelling (RoHS instructions in some cases can still be used), you can get from KINGCREDIE following the lead-free process of the surface technology:

Note: If your PCB is using Hot Air Levelling surface process, it can be changed to HAL lead-free or immersion gold process to replace.
